Left/right Shift/Ctrl/Alt/Win direct identification is kept separate internally from assisted inference. If one side is not identified, press the matching opposite-side key once first and try again.
This checks Fn combinations, not the Fn key itself. Turn on Fn combination check, press the same physical key once without Fn and once with Fn. No browser-visible difference does not mean the keyboard is faulty.
